Many thanks for your reply to my query. My research indicates that the average current level of CO2 is about 400 parts per million, i.e. 0.04%, a barely measurable 0.01% above your preferred level of 0.03%. While CO2 is essential for plant life (photosynthesis) and therefore the existence of all living creatures, and that increased CO2 will help to meet the increasing food production necessary for our rapidly growing world population, I am unaware of the downside and would appreciate your reasoning for believing that the dangers outweigh the benefits.
