Be careful with the wording, the MACs don't cover 40% of revenue they cover the regions from which 40% of revenue is generated. Within these states, private payers will still cover a large chunk (only 35% of Americans have public coverage, most have private). This makes it difficult to calculate the actual impact on revenue, as it is highly likely that most of those 40% of customers will still be covered by private insurers, and is why the company is likely trying to avoid speculating on how revenue will preform.

Am i naive in believing that the MACs covering 40% areas, we still have private patients there at 65%. So 35% of 40% is 14% which is the Medicare loss and revenue loss as well. But sales are up 74% so by those figures revenue should still be up over 50%. If so the company should clarify the situation. If this scenario is correct the SP should be up not down. No doubt the poorer MAC areas would have a higher Medicare percentage but they would be compensated by wealthy areas such as NY and California.
