I know parenting is hard in this era of total fantasy-media saturation, but plenty of children still grow up physically and mentally healthy, with some self-reliance, a productive attitude, and an education or useful skills.

I'm visiting Canberra, and it amazes me how people here manage to be "outraged" that foreign investment plays such a significant role in Australia's resource industry, and yet "outraged" at "exploitive" Australians who risk their own hard-earned to invest in resources.
