@logco - if people lived simple and healthy lives with less of the rubbish most of us put into our bodies and some simple hygiene measures in place, even in our supermarkets, they/we would be more resistant to any cruising virus.
Just check out the average supermarket trolley - and wonder about the 'foods' people are buying: so much tinned stuff, so many soft drinks, etc.
Another thing about supermarkets: here in Western Australia: the major supermarket chains seem to prepare their cut meats in the morning, slice them, even use pre-sliced from the previous day and display them for sale in - yes cooled - showcases, but they still smell, when you buy them - so a minimum of microbial material has already assembled on this kind of food before you even unwrap it.
Don't buy pre-cut foods - if fish and crustaceans - rinse in a vinegar/water mix - salt is also a good disinfectant, but will 'cook' seafood, so vinegar/water is a better choice. I also wash my meat even when it came in airtight packaging.
Similar with fruit, they all seem to have some surface treatment - and those stupid individual stickers!!! - wash your fruit!!
Don't cram your body with too much over-the-counter meds!
However:
Our major risks, though, are likely to come from countries which have open meat markets, and which are selling 'exotic' meats - as we have seen with the Covid Virus.
Stay well
