100% agree with you lads.
I am glad they didn't presume to call today a discovery. Short term hit to SP, but if they really do get the discovery they want, multiple chambers filled from multiple targets with oil, gas and condensate, then Scott's decision will be justified.

Imagine being the O&G analyst at PAC Partners (although he did a ask a stupid question) and having to turn that Discovery headline into a 3 page analysis. I'd look for a new job if I had to do that. It was a Clayton's discovery and that's how Scott played it ... massive kudos to Scott for not trying to spin it any other way.

@jakspara, I reckon once you calm down you'll reset and appreciate the journey back up to pre-Discovery fair value.
I'd rather take the hit now, buy more and see the market absorb the setback and move on than I would have the market spilke on a Discovery beat up, only to decline as the hollowness of the discovery is realised, and as well realising that Scott is a spin doctor like many other mining CEOs ... which he isn't. A loss of credibility is worse in my opinion, than an honest tool failure.

I sold GQG and CSL today and loaded up the funds into IVZ. Not complaining at all
