Members should have in place appropriate controls, known as “Chinese walls”, and other information barriers to quarantine employees in possession of inside information from trading or advising functions, or passing that information to others. If an employee who is not behind a Chinese wall acquires inside information, he/she should strictly avoid communicating the information to other persons, and promptly inform his/her compliance team.
