My friend who just returned from San Salvador related to me the suspicion that the ethnic Palestinian President of El Salvador is suspected of supporting Hamas. He has apparently hidden US$400m in a Bitcoin account with no access to anyone but him and his cronies. The strong suspicions, or accusations are that he is very likely supporting Hamas from these funds!!! As some may know, El Salvador is one of, if not the only country to have authorised the use of Bitcoin as an official currency and in their trading ( along with the US$)
This is unsubstantiated, however, the rumours are rife within the country about a President who spends millions on self aggrandisement!
