Avdiivka will be done in the next few weeks. Which would be another disaster for the Ukrainian army, on top of the failed counter-offensive.
Unless US/EU step up with their military aid (which seems unlikely considering all the media narratives that are floating around), I don't see how Ukraine can shift the course of war in their favour.
But then how much more military aid can US/EU really afford? They've already thrown 200+ billion into the conflict, which achieved basically nothing as far as gains by the Ukrainian army go. How much more aid is required for Ukraine to win decisively? 200-300-400-500 billion? What about boots on the ground? Ukraine's current population, by most optimistic estimates, is around 27 million. Russia has around 21-22 million men fit for military service.
