    Thanks for asking the question directly to Wayne. Good responses all - it's good to improve our understanding of the metrics.

    I think there is an important point that is said in the below link (which was posted in another thread) that the vibration of the valve is very important as well.

    Where the DVI for Anteris is 0.71 and drops to 0.62 after 30 days, and Evolut is 0.61 and drops to 0.50 (from memory) - while this is only 15% better - Evolut's valve vibrates something shocking (2:37 of the below link).

    This is huge!! As it was pointed out, the constand vibration reduces the life of the device. Think of a car that vibrates like crazy, you'd take it back.

    I'd take DURAVR any day over sapien for that reason alone. No-one wants to replace their device 5-10 years later.
