    Who says the cost would be astronomical? That is your word and not SM's. It would cost more but I would bet that it would cost a less than an extra sidetrack and damaged wireline tools. That is BEFORE you consider the giant loss in market cap. MK-2 SHOULD have been done incrementally and top to bottom wireline (if you are deciding to NOT use LWD with fluid sampling with SLB SpectraSphere)
