Thanks grudgy, nice to get a bit of discussion to take the edge of the frustration . . . and . . . nope . . . still frustrated. Feck.
Optimistic me hoped there would be decent news before the AGM, something to make pay rises and bonus shares seem all very reasonable. Recent history me says they raised at 1.4 cos it wasn't going to get any better any time soon. Pessimistic me says that industry will only show real and vocal enthusiasm for sustainable options when governments start tying CEOs to chairs and prodding their dangly bits with red hot pokers - or whatever the legal and legislative equivalents are. Am concerned that continuing under the current contract will make it easy to instigate the next stage with minimum noise and exposure. Great for companies that would like to draw zero attention to their mess, not so good for companies that are cleaning it up and could do with the publicity.
