Another factor influencing lower voting is where individuals hold shares through one of the partial share platforms like s h a r e s i e s, they may not have the full or any voting functionality built into the share platform. Its not a problem if you wanted to simply own shares for financial rewards but becomes an issue if you hold shares that way and wish to participate in voting against resolutions.
