You mean a "dedicated trial" like the "gold standard" RCT system that's so sciency-y and gold standard-y that millions upon millions of our fellow humans had no right to even object to being injected with an experimental drug?
Wow! What an awesome world we live in! In the great cycle of history maybe we're the first "civilisation" to have got away with such hubris. But I'm inclining to think we haven't.
