I am by no means an expert on the political situation in Madagascar, other than to say it has been contentious at best, and for the time being it has concluded amidst controversy.

It will be interesting to see what happens next, hopefully there is a peaceful resolution, or at worst the people "accept the results and wait until the next election".
Rajoelina has a stench about him, but there isn't much we - or anyone else - can do about it, unless the country descends into civil war.
The thing in our favour is he has taken a chunk of money from the World Bank, and they will expect him to play ball and keep his end of the bargain.
