Great to see the Sustainability & Climate Change Strategy finally released.
It's an essential document for lenders to have before them, to enable them to approve funding.

Despite the chatter from the climate deniers and pro-polluters, sustainability of the project (with a minimum environmental impact) is critical to the long-term success of this project, and its acceptance by governments (compare AVZ Minerals in DRC) and local communities (compare Savannah Resources in Portugal).

Despite complaints from foreign nationals, who think that other country's resources are for their plunder, there is value in considering the rights of the incumbents (in stark contrast to countries like DRC, with its child artisanal miners).

As COP28 opens, there will be an increased focus on LPD's credentials, and whether it is a company with values, or just interested in exploitative operations to satisfy impatient shareholders and executives (prosperity is but one of the essential pillars of success).
