    cheech, you're awesome!
However, even though I'm very reluctant to argue with you since you're obviously not only well informed but also the owner of an uncommonly (in HC anyway) good brain, I'd like to ask a couple of questions, not by way of argument but by way of confirmation.
One of the elements of your thesis is that, "In China people are a dispensable commodity" and that "Historicaly this has been the case." Could History, do you think, change course in the future? Could, for example, see an emergence of "self worth," in a place which is suddenly attacked by a flood of consumerism? Could the new rich, with their first-time ever cars and washing machines, etc, etc -those who have surpassed the bicycle generation, and which will suddenly burst in number, refuse to be as tollerant of the governing mandarins as their predecessors were? Could, in other words, see another "Cultural Revolution?" A Tianamen Square X 1,000?

And if this were to take place could your next point be challenged also, namely, "The Chinese do not have a problem because unlke the West they are not using someone else like the US with mexicans or the Israeli's with Arabs, or the Europeans with Africans. It therefore does not create an external enemy or potenial for the same?"

How will China be able to control this massive population when it begins to make the uppity demands of a newly-formed capitalist society?

You've mentioned the growth in the Chinese population here in Oz. This, I believe is a double-edged sword, because if the Government of China continues with the sort of oppressive manufacturing laws it has, the new capitalists might just plss off out of there and give growth over here.

You've mentioned the changing complexion of the whites here in Oz. Complexions don't mean a bugger to me. In the end, it's the strength and breadth of morality that I buy. So when the Chinese arrive here, I don't see the changing of facial features as a threat. If they marry whites then surely both can gain from that marriage! It's an ideal, because then you have a cross-fertilization of cultures, of mindsets, of ethos, ethics, customs, etc, etc, in other words, a richer, broader family.
I would, of course, hate it, if they simply came and "stuck to their own," as xenophobes tend to do. However, I don't believe that they will all be like that.

So, with an oppressive regime (if that will be the case) will not the population reject it, one way or another and run away from it? Will, for example, little pieces like Tibet, Taiwan, etc, begin to fray at the edges? Will the other, major financial powers in the world (call them The West, for the moment) come to the aid of these little fragments? Do you believe, as I do that the wider an empire stretches, the bigger it becomes in ANYTHING, the greater its dangers of dissolution?
History also tells us that the greater (bigger) the empire the more arrogant it becomes, the greater its hubris (against the rest of the world) the easier its heart rots and then the easier it is for it to collapse and die.

Do you think that the emergence of China, as you see it, will spring out of the grave of the American empire and will China itself, similarly, through its own hubris dig its own grave?

I won't tire you any more but these are some questions which your great post brought up to my mind.
    Thanks.
