Not sure if anyone has asked this question yet @JRIPodcast, but the thickness of the Upper Angwa hydrocarbon bearing interval at MK-2 looks to be considerably less than at MK-1.
At MK-2, we entered the Upper Angwa at 2,200m. And the Lower Angwa started at approx 3,080m (based on the first fluorescence photo from the LA).
First hydrocarbon shows were encountered at 2,582m in UA and we were still in them at TD 3,718m in LA. This gives us the reported “gross hydrocarbon charge interval in excess of 1,000m”.
But it means that in the Upper Angwa at MK-2 we only have a gross hydrocarbon bearing interval of approx 500m (from 2,582m to 3,080m).
At MK-1 it was in excess of 1,200m for the Upper Angwa.
Would it be possible to ask Scott to discuss the implications or significance of this difference?
Is there a risk that we won’t have as much net pay in the Upper Angwa at MK-2 as first thought? And is this why the Lower Angwa is so important?
