I can't see the new Gen 3 furnaces halving the capital costs. Furnaces aren't the only cost however. They're going to need a lot of mills. When you furnace the pet coke over time and temperature to produce spherical graphite, which don't come out in the perfect size. They need to be milled down into the perfect size whether it's 18nm, 15nm or 12nm. They all have to be the same size before going into a battery. I'm basing this assumption on natural AAM and I remember seeing a flow sheet on a presentation for synthetic which had mills on it.
