I've been trying to link short data to placements/CRs/SPPs etc and there can be some obvious signals through the short data.

If a finance institution and/or broker/s hear of company requests for finance tenders they will often start a shorting campaign to drive the SP down and it will be recorded in the daily shorts aggregated chart here - normally - https://www.shortman.com.au/stock?q=aw1

(Take a look at IMU for example) This is the current aggregated short data for AW1 as reported ... zero.

But there are daily shorts ... non-aggregated ... https://www.asx.com.au/data/shortsell.txt

Which was

AW1     AMERICAN WEST METALS LIMITED      FPO                  429,766         370,798,029       

on Monday ... roughly 10% of the trades pushing the SP down significantly against the news.

If you look at the short data in that first shortman site (I can't post the chart to HC for some reason) you will see spikes on Sept 4 and Sept 26 lining up with two significant news releases.

So Monday was the same ... an institutional/broker short against news I expect.

Probably not related to any raise (??? my assumption) but definitely related to strategic accumulation I assume.
