Your reference to the correlation between the US dollar and the price of gold is not to be underestimated.
Although shareholders are focusing on the performance of OBM at the moment (rightly so), its share price is also impacted by the value of the US dollar. And there is a concerted effort by many countries to diverse away from the US dollar and use gold to underpin their economies.
Also, if some analysts are correct in their assessments of a looming recession, gold will be good insurance and OBM will benefit from higher gold prices.
So all-in-all I see OBM not only benefitting long term from local circumstances, but also international factors. That's why I'm not selling.
