Ok, thanks @Tren1 and @aussiekangaroo8. That’s reassuring. I reckon SGR can deal with everything else. Eventually, the quality of the assets should move more into the forefront of investor minds as the risks described in @Zimingliu’s post recede. I think then today’s share price will be seen in hindsight as a buying opportunity.
No doubt we will experience some further grief on the journey, but as Warren Buffett once remarked “you will pay a pretty penny for a cheery consensus”. We all seem to be operating on the inverted premise “you won’t pay much at all for an unloved caterpillar”. Hopefully SGR will turn into a butterfly towards the end of the decade.
