Yeah with so much government intervention in the Australian gas production and regulated gas pricing Woodside should concentrate on its export markets. Does Woodside need Santos ? no imo.
Does Santos need Woodside ? Yes imo so Woodside conceivably has the up hand so a merger could be favourable for Woodside and Santos if a deal was done.
