I'm going to throw in something out of left field. My hunch was right with PRU and the other big player I would have thought would make a play was Barrick. If you know the history Acadia (100% subsidiary of Barrick) owned Nyanzaga, they got hit with $180m tax bill and Barrick paid that amount and had to sell Nyanzaga. Orecorp owned 25% of Nyanzaga at that stage. Barrick had to offload Nyanzaga to comply with the Tanzanian govt ruling. Orecorp paid a pultry $8m for total cost of $11m and 100% ownership. I'm hoping Barrick come to the party, then we will see a big bidding war. I might be dreaming but dreams can come true.
