The announcement today & these numbers are generally considered very good, particularly in the context of lithium exploration.
The percentage of Lithium Oxide (Li2O) in the assays represents the lithium content in the spodumene-bearing pegmatite dykes.
Dyke #04 with 7.60% Li2O is a high-grade result.
Dyke #03 with 7.44% Li2O is also a high-grade result.
Dyke #05 with 4.56% Li2O is a solid result, though not as high as the first two.
Dyke #01, #06, and #02 with 1.75%, 1.47%, and 1.43% Li2O, respectively, are lower but still represent economic grades.
In lithium mining, higher lithium content in ore bodies is generally more economically viable, as it reduces processing costs.
The results suggest that the Trieste Lithium Project has areas with very promising lithium grades, which is positive for the project's overall potential.
However, the economic viability also depends on other factors such as extraction and processing costs, as well as market conditions for lithium which unfortunately dictated terms today with the sell-off.
