Very enjoyable thread-civilisations in Northern Africa , + greater Mediterranean were advanced, and maritime trade and exploration common and very established by 3800 years ago.

In so many ways, it has always been remarkable that Australia was supposedly not discovered, & visited, with people stopping here.

Breakdown and conquering of early great civilisations North Africa and Europe , Islamic incursions/ marauding tribes up through all in the “cradle of civilisation regions , localised feudal systems before eventually 700 years nearly later early royal states becoming more organised with organised church states etc.
Greater Russia , India and Asia left alone by the Romans prior .

Gradual rise of shipping fleets and exploration again- relatively recently.

Routine trade, over thousands of years & certainly by over 3000 years ago, with some great maritime early nations.

More probable than improbable very arguably - for expeditions to have made it here to Australia , & as matter of course even gathered and exploited local resources + esp sought valuable metals ..& needed to feed a local working community while they were settled here ?
