Why are thermal coal stocks falling in Australia

Someone said it was COP28 for the coal price decline in NHC and for that matter WHC and YAL to some extent.. That is most definitely true but has this selling been overdone?
Who knows. Nevertheless, I don't believe that they can meet the targets by 2030. there are just too many developing countries in my opinion. Example, just 2 - China and India who account for approximately 50% of emissions. . The timeline of 2030 is in my opinion not possible. Australia is not set up or even close to using renewables for electricity without complications.

Australia will go broke if they can't export Coal and gas. No royalties, GST. No money for the States. Cost of living and quality of life will be adversely affected. with less resources in an already under resourced economy. What is going to replace the $billions of dollars from those exports?

What happens when no wind, no sunshine, drought etc. There must be a better alternative? Don't invest in coal?

Not sure what has changed really. The market has decided thus far that all thermal coal miners are no good to invest into.

OPTION 2 SOUNDS GOOD FOR INVESTORS.

Is this even possible? Unanimous on the wording of phase out instead of previously agreed COP26 phase down?

My understanding is that they decide later today. 6am in Dubai right now.
