The size type conformity formulation of our NPs is a trade secret. My understanding, that in order for conformity of signature, repeatability platform, requires uniformity of size / type particles. The early days of this stocks listed discussed this at length. It is not something that can be easily replicated, and its value remains for a predator to acquire rather than arduously re-invent that incurs a significant investment of time. It is that magic juice which is the life blood of all our applications.
