it depends where you are trying to scan the NPs. In HER2 it was testing if the cancer had spread to the lymphatics. But what about other types ? like prostate. ? You would be testing in the prostate itself. So to each type of test, its about where you inject the NPs and the flow of those NPs to the target area.
