Using their R&D refunds (minimal I know - tongue in cheek !) and equity to bring this inhouse is a solid move. Clearly solid benefits to BLG, cuts out competitors, clearly have a good relationship with the engineer they have brought on board whom they would know well in a small industry. And their CLAWS partners would know BLG were doing this.
This story gets better and better and as @Freddieflintoff implied, the Aussie market has had its usual unenthusiastic reaction. The Yanks will come for this in a hurry and get it for a song. Our market at this end is driven by brokers who, if they don't see a slice of pie in it for them, do not get interested. Such a short sighted industry. Sooner it is disrupted, the better.
IMO, if you have a 12 to 24 month time horizon, back up the truck.
