Now the weather forecasters are predicting landfall further north than Mackay or Bowen. More like Cairns or Tully. That said, its far too early to know. Suspect that ships are demobilised from the DBCM lading wharves to avoid damage and a lot are riding at anchor in the ship roads out to sea off the port. All are empty so riding high. A delay in loading should result in a backlog of cargoes, and so more congestion at port for a while.
This would likely affect loading of Beaconsfield coal, about 4-5 shiploads planned for December, maybe one has got away loaded?
Cyclones are to be expected and they occur when they occur. Mining and rail likely continuing to port t the moment. But it's going to rain pretty hard for a few days?
