I think the market is just confused by these guys and don't know what to make of them lol
The Li and now REE landholdings are very promising and vast in Brazil (solid mining jurisdiction), and one can't discount gold in PNG esp since gold is looking to go on a bull run (albeit it takes 10+years up there unless they jag a discovery hole when they actually start drilling (IF)). But it is all too much for the average jo to take in.
But I am in for the Li ground in Minas Gerais - warning I am totally bias on this as I see this area is of most interest and potential hence have bought into a few plays in Minas Gerais. There are at least two world class Li deposits (Sigma and Latin) plus some others in the area evolving (Atlas but also Brazil Minerals Inc.).
I was doing some research and found this reference : Gem Pegmatites of Minas Gerais, Brazil - Exploration, Occurrence and Aquamarine Deposits - by Keith Proctor, paper in 1984). It is fascinating that these major Li deposits (Tier 1 - Sigma and Latin) are mostly in the pink and green shaded areas on the old map, and within the broader blue shaded areas - notes describing the colouring below.
The red and green areas are two of the better defined tourmaline districts, and blue is another defined gem district with other mines scattered throughout (ie) the artisanal or old workings. There have been references made elsewhere regarding gems such as these as indicators of potentially Li bearing pegmatites and by the looks of Sigma and LRS it is bang on IMO.
So....what is of my interest - is that GMN has country that is within these or on the margins of these areas - most promising IMO esp. those leases about half way between Aracuai and Malacacheta, (South Salina I think they're calling them) where is may also be around the margins of the G4 country (see images following)....
Gem map circa 1984 (Ref : Proctor) - Latin and Sigma in the thick of the best gem country (red and green areas)...
Location of GMN leases in Minas Gerais...the red ones in the middle are my favs.
So not too sure about these ones to the north and NE of LRS/Salinas but still in the vicinity of the right looking geology/gem areas.
The red circle in the map below is approx. position of GMN leases around these granite structures incl. G4 (circa 1985 maps form related references). There is a better map somewhere in another announcement but I can't find it atm.
You can also visualise where LRS Colina is and Sigma (along margins of the orange G4's) - GMN is more than just nearology to LRS and Sigma - it is in the right geological setting for a potential big find - plus they have very large areas secured as well.
Or they could find nothing lol
Plus they have significant leases scattered elsewhere in Brazil of course. All the leases could be valued significantly higher than the GMN market cap atm of about AUD $11M - it should be 10x that just on potentially valuable leases alone (IMO). Now add in the recent REE leases (!)
GMN need a strategist and marketing specialist on board to cut through the confusion - Mars also has a scattergun approach and is not useful. The announcements need to be more general and easy to read instead of written by a techhead. Part of the fresh strategy would be to focus and get a drill bit turning asap but at the moment they are stretched too thin and the market is worried and can't see the picture clearly (and better investments elsewhere atm tbh). They have some great country but no clear strategy atm (maybe in their heads but not for the market!) - share performance hasn't been good....
....so just sideways around .005 until they get their sh*ite together, get focussed and provide a clear strategy.
It looks like the Li sector might be rising so a rising tide will lift all ships and the minnows may follow BUT they still need a clearer direction and exploration success.
Anyway a long winded way to say I'm still invested under 1c, not particularly happy but confident that they will sort themselves out + they have some great leases in very promising geological settings. CR's will be required of course but that's the nature of the game.
Have a great weekend everyone
