did anyone notice...?

Did anyone notice that the average age of participants in the recently concluded trial was 44 years of age?

MBP's previous research indicated that older people get the greatest benefit from the drug.

This means that MBP's trial results are skewed toward the positive by minimizing the participation of younger people. If they'd done the trial with a representative sample of age groups their results would presumably have been less impressive still.

In other words, it looks like the drug will only be really effective on older people, which may substantially reduce eventual sales.

I also would have liked to have some information on just how obese the trial participants were and how much weight they lost as a percentage of total weight. If these people were humungously fat to start with, 2.8 kilograms is not much to lose. If they were only a few kilograms overweight, 2.8 kilos would represent a significant loss.
