Elkem is trading at 1 bil usd market cap. OMH is at 225 mil usd. So about 22% of elkem.
this is a rough approximation of their production based on the presentation. silicon production at 204,000 tonnes and ferrosilicon at 190,000 tonnes. Silicon(silicon metal?), 13000 kwh per tonne, ferrosilicon 9000 kwh per tonne.
if i reverse the energy requirements it comes up to about 500MW of energy. I recall omhs being about 350MW. So elkem is technically, about 50% larger than omh. But its market cap is 5x that of omh.
They have a lot of patents and their microsilica business. But microsilica is a waste product so revenue is likely not much, its used in concrete and ceramics or something like that.
I did a 10 minute look through, maybe someone can correct me. It looks very undervalued to me.
