    Been thinking about this over the weekend.

    Is a higher offer from a current "player" a question of who wants control of the RESOURCE -or - are the major players currently there happy to coexist & share the output ie enter a shareholders agreement addressing how it will be divided up?

    Then, as you say, the only increments in share price will be via further good results OR via a new player seeking control of the resource (the likelihood of which presumably increases the better the future exploration results are).

    Might future results shake a current 'player' loose from the pack? Remember Gina has - what - 15 bill+ at her disposal ??
