He made mention of 'potential for underground' for a potential super zone extension at depth.

That would introduce more uncertainty to the PFS numbers. We'd not know how much of the NPV (and risk) is due to open cut, and how much to underground.

Like now, SS2's NPV included a contribution from Valley and it's inferred resources from just 2 holes. That's some uncertainty, but underground playing a part in the calculations would be even more uncertainty.

North Uphill is clear and simple. A likely improvement to resources, strip ratio and mining costs - boosting NPV, without an associated increase in risk (a decrease in risk in my mind).

So hopefully they hit something in Valley shallows, and then plan a pad for further uphill from North. Boosting NPV, while keeping things simple.
