Yes it's impossible to draw conclusions, particularly when it comes to assumptions about future assay results. A few well regarded posters on the GRE thread have said much the same as me, that the core doesn't look too flash. Could go either way which is my point. Above 1.2% good, below 1% not so good.
I think you'll find that geological processes obey the same laws of physics and chemistry and wherever they are on the planet.
