Once he exercised his options the shares were loaned out to Macquarie. They then continued to crater the SP with constant selling into the market. Their short position was perfectly executed. Targeted the weak and got a huge result.
Once the company starts printing money they would likely return long on BET.
The people who actually know identified this as a leverage against these shares for his funding arrangement. Did he cop the wrath? Yep but only from the sore losers. He did nothing wrong.
TW and Tripp both backed and funded BET when they were in desperate need of expansion funding.
Again the sore losers just look to blame anyone but themselves for buying into the hype of US fixed odds.
So your point about TW is 100% correct. He’s not the most liked bloke in the world but BET’s SP trouble is nothing to do with him.
