Hi Towie. Had a quick look.

    Looking at http://www.asx.com.au/asxpdf/20100825/pdf/31s2jljc5xrxnn.pdf
    from page 29 to 30:

'Molecular discovery system': sounds like an early clinical trial of chemotherapy drugs which has only just graduated from animal models. They don't mention any specifics in this document, but it sounds like it's only early days in the development of this drug, whatever it is.

The HLS5: Sounds like they're only discovered a 'potential therapeutic target'. Without more information on this, I'd say this is very very early days in the development of a (if any) therapeutic.

Cortical dynamics: Hard to tell how far along this project is without more information.

Diagnostic array systems: This is rubbish. Any doctor who tries to identify a respiritory pathogen from a sputum sample has no idea what he is doing in my opinion. Sputum samples are not a valuable clinical tool. Nasopharyngeal aspirates are occasionally useful if a child has bronchiolitis. Sputum always has many contaminants and is rarely a true reflection of the microbial growth in the lower respiratory tract. It may be quicker than a traditional sputum culture but I doubt it tell you anything about antibiotic sensitivities. Thus, clinicians will have to treat the infection empirically anyway. I doubt this project will take off, so I wouldn't hold your breath.

Hydrocarbons and drilling aren't my field of expertise. Can't comment on their projects in this area

That's a 15 minute glance at the companies activities and, without looking at their fundamentals at all, I'd say BPH is prices fairly appropriately at 8c.

Can anyone suggest any other companies?
