Gamestop was slightly different in that the stock was 140% short (not quite sure how that's possible. You'd probably have to be American to understand). I don't think that can happen on the ASX...
So at circa 8%, the short squeeze wouldn't be quite the same, but with 14M odd net short and not massive depth, it wouldn't take a lot of buying to move the price quickly (as we've seen the last couple of days).
