Critical minerals strategy

From an Australian perspective critical minerals, the supply of, processing, value adding and ultimately manufacturing with is now well on the national radar.
Australia if smart enough (the multi billion dollar question) has a unique opportunity to become a significant player in this field. The Chinese with a large monopoly in this area are not and will never be trusted with supply guarantees by the west. Billions of dollars from both the Australian and US governments are being invested in the supply and manufacturing strategies for these minerals into the future. So we have an opportunity to capitalise significantly in the renewable's arena. Will this actually happen given the historic dig it up ship it out attitude of previous Australian governments i personally hope so. So my argument here is that DRE may well benefit significantly if the critical minerals planets align and Australia actually takes this opportunity seriously, and if so things can happen very quickly. If we transition from coal and gas to renewable sources then we need a new manufacturing capability to fill the economic void and the government appears to now recognise this. Opportunities abound the big question is will this country take the opportunity or will this be another missed chance. If things do go well then DRE appears to have many of the resources and opportunities for additional discoveries of the minerals and metals needed in the not too distant future. 2024 2025 could be a turning point if a Australia actually gets it right.
