I believe the original plan would have been to plug back the 6" hole if it had been drilled immediately after running the 7"casing, which would have probably happened if a sidetrack was not forced upon them. However, as the drilling of the 6" hole has been deferred until when the well testing equipment is on location, it now gives them the opportunity to perform a barefoot test on the 6"hole. I would hope they ran a 4-1/2" uncemented slotted liner into the 6"hole to hopefully preserve it for possible follow-up production.
