I think he’s comfortable with the pace of growth, plus it gives him ample time to issue himself and his team more options while drawing a comfortable salary and bonuses. I’d do that if I was in his position.
Only young hot shots in Silicon Valley think of ultra growth, and then exiting and then building another business, rinse and repeat. The rest of the population is happy with having one business do the heavy lifting, grow it slowly, be content with knowing that it’ll easily sell for $500m and have the possibility to retire early.
