Partnership with Algeria/Japan - IVZ matrix
Zimbabwe wants to develop a home grown gas industry.
20% stake will be paid in hydrocarbon - Algerians will assist develop gas to energy infrastructure. They benefit by equipment supply and project management( whilst locals being trained)
is that a threat to IVZ- No!
If IVZ wish to sell gas to the Algerian project- good for them( another customer in the bag).
Without IVZ this project goes nowhere. Zimbabwe needs IVZ as much as IVZ needs Zimbabwe ( perfect scenario)
As some of you may not be aware - there is a huge deposits of coal bed Methane gas west of Zimbabwe. I hope Scott should jostle for acreage in this field- Seems Alabara and Jacqueline Resources already have hands on this. Gasprom was awarded but due to sanctions this may not materialise.
Zimbabwe is looking forward to access Algerian funding and expertise in this area.
Algeria is not a threat to IVZ its role is developing energy infrastructure like power plants, power transmission and pipeline networks across Zimbabwe and more importantly training locals manage resources.
Unfortunately these deals may delay the signing of PPSA.
