Does any one know why SP is up? I have read and read and I can't figure it out. At this price Lynas PE is over 20 which means they are returning less than 5% on the SP. When SAR comes out profits will drop and PE may reach 40 which is a 2.5% return, Based on a Stock price of 7.00 if stock drops then PE drops. The Q2 report will show this in advance with revenue about 80 M. I will not give a number for AR till I see Q 2&3 plus SAR but right now AR profits will be down substantially from last year's AR of 300 + M I think it will be below 200 M for sure 200 M / 933M shares = 0.22 at a SP of 7.00 that says Lynas is only returning 3% on the SP. The April 2022 high of 11.59 Was powered by the Great Q3 revenue of 328M the stock started dropping when Q4 was only 285 M . Q1 2024 was only 128M and JMO but Q2 with shut down and the continued drop in REE prices will be 80M or less. Why should stock be going up?
What am I missing? I have to be missing something. If you do not know why a stock is going up, what do you watch for to know when it will change. when it goes down I am sure some will have a field day blaming market makers, shorters, or some other evil people for the decline but the reality is if they have no idea why it is going up unlikely to know why it changes and goes down, So they fall back on unproven superstitions.
I know AL said end of C 2024 NdPrO equivalent of 10.5 tons run rate. I do not believe this. right know I would be very encouraged if they could make NEXT rates in 2 consecutive Qs before Dec. 2024. I wounder if she will tell us that they did achieve the 10.5rate for a week or month just like she did in 2019 with NEXT. look at how long that took to break in Q4 but it was not sustained because rate fell to 1526 T in Q1. JMO but they have yet to show they are capable of achieving NEXT Q to Q. I think Q4 was a cram job that quickly fell apart. no indication of continuous output. Total production was up Q3 to Q4 by 125 T While NdPr was up slightly more Total production was unchanged from Q2 4457. So how much of the NdPr reaching NEXT was from process improvements or lack of problems?
