There's never any pressure from professional legal bodies to increase the percentage of male solicitors, despite women now beginning to dominate. It's even more pronounced with government 'lawyers' (many of whom have never stepped inside a courtroom to argue their clients' case before an experienced judge).

So why do we need more female plumbers? At times it's a dirty and smelly job. My male plumber does an outstanding job: he knows his stuff and with sewerage leaks he's had to deal at other clients' homes, his attitude is simply to 'get in there and do it'.

The worry is that competency will be replaced with virtue signalling box ticking, and overall standards in the plumbing game will deteriorate.

On page 10, REH discusses renewable energy.

I'd encourage all SH to read Terry McCrann in 'Herald Sun' or 'The Australian' today (or in previous articles). While he does go on a bit too much, taking 100 words to say what most would express in 50, he makes the salient point that wind and solar energy are hopeless, especially on still nights. Componentry is largely from mainland communist China and most certainly does not have an indefinite life.

So-called 'renewable' energy is all about making consumers and businesses pay more.

As McCrann reminds us this morning, mainland China and India are continuing to use more thermal coal and build more power stations using this wonderful God-given resource because these nations want their citizens to have an increase in living standards. It's diametrically opposed to Australia where Labor governments are working every day to lower our living standards: the community is becoming more 'two speed' with a substantial percentage now experiencing a decline in material living standards.

REH is a wonderful entity but this ill-advised document, a rare misstep, would best be dispatched into the nearest Bingo waste bin by a competent male plumber.
