If anyone is wondering about the "other interesting stuff" I mentioned - the SONRIS GIS provides links to aerial imaging of the area in question taken over some time.

I might also point out that Google Earth has multiple sets of imaging of the area so you can go back and forth in time! See the crops come and go as the seasons change!

Now if only we could get access to real time satellite imaging!

PS You guys have all noticed that the InstaCam imaging problem has been sorted out and we're getting a 5 minute feed again, right? Thankfully not much to see though that porch light is on again!
