Stock splits do tend to be favorable to share price, and stock consolidations unfavorable to share price, despite the fact that they theoretically/mathematically should not affect market cap.
There is a real "oh the share price is high => it's too expensive/time to sell" or "the share price is low - time to buy as they're cheap" effect exists and is very real.
Even one of my fellow medical doctors thought the WA1 share price was too high at $5 so he didn't want to buy lol.
