It's better to spend $43b on something is future proof than $6b on something that is already outdated right around the world.

There's no such thing as future-proof, all there is is future-risk. Answer this why does it need to cost $43bill when it cost a quarter of that everywhere else around the world? It's wasted spending, I don't care if I get movie downloads in 10 seconds. I care if, when I or my loved ones are sick, there's a hospital bed and doctors and nurses to make us better.

The money they want to spend is obscene. Technology is progressing so rapidly, i don't know why you'd commit so much money. Technologically where are we going to be in 8 years time when the NBN is fully completed?
