@Sweetsound - all the staff were exceptional! Friendly, caring, respectful - one tiny Philippino lady, turbo-charged with good cheer, immediately introduced herself as 'Maria' - I had fun with her, after a while she complained about her boring Australian husband, so I said, she has enough good humour for two - - another operating theater nurse looked a bit grumpy, so I made a comment on the 'piped' music and she said, she didn't mind, I then asked her what music she liked and she intimated that she rather liked 'Madonna' but not lately - I didn't admit, that I had never listened to a Madonna song in my life, but caught up on Madonna when I returned home . . . very professional singer, exhibiting dreams, ambitions of modern womankind.
and the funniest scene: I am big, not large or fat, but was 1.70 tall, (now 1.66 frown.png) - after the op I couldn't walk, so I requested that I be taken to the parking lot in a wheelchair. They found the tiniest Asian lady to push my chair, right in front of daughter's open car door - and she did it cheerfully.
There was an unconscious ranking order happening, the top professionals were the tallest (because Anglo and European) and the lower down the scale you got, the shorter the people . . . many migrants - and they all work happily together.

re music and singing: Our pop singers are our modern troubadours, singing to our needs, portraying our longings, ambitions, dreams etc. etc. -
I am happy with melodies, don't need words; and I am trying to learn Irish singing atm. amazing stuff, especially the lilting kind of triplets they introduce - seemingly at random . . .

Got rid of almost all my X-mas mail today in an almost empty post office at 3 pm - amazing!
This will be my last post for a while on here, too! Adieu!
    Enjoy the season!
