I think the EU is a classic example of where we are heading. All major decisions being made by a handful of selected eurocrats with national interests of the various member countries becoming irrelevant.
The big difference between the middle ages feudal system and the Soviet system was religion. Aristocracy used religion to control the masses whilst the Soviets had a more direct sysrem of control.
The reset will be a gradual change and be driven by changing generational mindsets. Just ask yourself how dependant our younger generations are on internet and social media.
What will happen if they turn that internet switch off or limit those that use it?
